About this happenin

On select evenings from mid-November into early January, the Dallas Zoo stays open after dark for Dallas Zoo Lights. More than two million lights and lanterns fill the main entrance, ZooNorth and the Tunnel, and many of the displays are inspired by animals. Most of the real ones are in their behind-the-scenes habitats by then. Santa takes visits and there are musical performances. Tickets are separate from daytime admission; a combo ticket adds zoo entry from 2:30 p.m., and parking is bought separately. Holiday igloos seat up to six guests for 90 minutes. One night is set aside for sensory friendly visits, with small crowds and lower music, and another is for members only.
