Chefs For Farmers is a food and wine festival that pairs Texas chefs with local farms, and its Dallas Main Event takes over Old City Park. It began in 2010 as a farm-to-table dinner in Dallas. Each restaurant is matched with a farm and cooks its featured dish from that farm's ingredients, and the festival gives the chef a stipend to cover them. A Main Event ticket includes unlimited food and drink, with nothing extra for gratuity. Dinners at restaurants and other Dallas venues fill the days around it. Every event is 21 and over, and a valid photo ID is required for entry. Tickets are not sold at the door, and the outdoor events go ahead rain or shine.
