Chicago Irish Film Festival

About this happenin

AMC Newcity on North Clybourn Avenue is where the Chicago Irish Film Festival screens new work by Irish filmmakers at the end of each winter. The nonprofit has been at it since 1999, and its films come in English and in Irish. Opening night starts with a reception before the film. After that the days fill with features and documentaries, plus shorts programs, one of them made for children 6 to 12. Online screenings run alongside the theater dates and for about a week after them, for viewers in Illinois and six other states.

More in February: 6 other Chicago events.
