Glacier National Park in Montana had more than 100 glaciers when it was established in 1910. In 2015, 26 named ones were still big enough to count. Going-to-the-Sun Road crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass, and the full road rarely opens before late June. In summer the lot at the pass fills before sunrise. Many Glacier, just west of Babb, sits where four valleys meet, two of them with glaciers, and its trail to the Grinnell Glacier viewpoint runs 5.3 miles each way with 1,600 feet of climbing.
