About

At Indian Springs State Park in Flovilla, near I-75, you can taste water from a natural artesian spring inside a stone Spring House. The water smells of sulphur from the minerals it picks up, and the Spring House closes at sunset. Across from the park entrance is the Indian Springs Hotel, which Creek chief William McIntosh built after the first Treaty of Indian Springs in 1821. He was killed in 1825, the year of the second treaty. The park office lends tackle and poles for Lake McIntosh.
