Chefs For Farmers Food + Wine Festival spends two days in late September at Autry Park in Houston. Each restaurant taking part is paired with a local farm and given a stipend to buy its ingredients straight from that farm, so the plates come from farms in the region. One ticket covers unlimited tastings and drinks, with live entertainment through the afternoon. General admission and VIP tickets are sold for each day, and a weekend pass covers both. The festival also holds supper clubs at Houston restaurants, where several chefs cook one dinner together. Entry is 21 and over, with a photo ID.
