About this happenin

Comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and cosplay share one roof for three days at FAN EXPO Chicago, held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. The organiser puts the crowd at 80,000. The show started in 1972 as Chicago Comic Con and was Wizard World Chicago from 1998. Celebrity guests sign autographs, pose for photo ops and talk about their movies and TV shows on panels. Comic artists face off in Sketch Duels, "How To" workshops teach the craft, and costumed characters stop for photos all over the building. Exhibitors and an Artist Alley turn the floor into one big shop. The posted hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, with an early preview on Friday for some advance pass holders.
