About

Denali stands 20,310 feet, the highest peak in North America. It does not always come out of the clouds. Your best odds of seeing it are between mid-May and early September, which is also when the park buses run. From the bus windows people pick out grizzlies, caribou, moose and Dall sheep along the one road into the park. Away from the road the park is mostly trackless, and hikers walk straight out across the tundra.
