Houston Heights Holiday Home Tour

About this happenin

The Houston Heights Association opens a handful of decorated homes in the neighborhood to visitors each December for its Holiday Home Tour. It runs on a Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and a Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m., and it is ticketed. The houses change every year. Visitors go at their own pace, and in past years shuttles have run between the homes and the association's Fire Station at 12th Street and Yale, where tickets were picked up. One tour had five homes, the oldest built in 1903 and the newest in 2005, each with a head docent and live holiday music. Some years carry a theme. One year it was Winter Wonderland, and the tour moved outside to the front yards.

More in December: 6 other Houston events.
