GrapeFest
636 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051
Hotel Vin is the only one of the Grapevine hotels within walking distance of Main Street, a five-minute walk from the visitor center at 636 South Main Street. A 2021 report described street traffic and live music on the Main Street side, so ask for a room away from it.
About this happenin
GrapeFest turns Historic Main Street in Grapevine into a four-day wine festival every September. The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau runs it and calls it the largest wine festival in the Southwest. USA TODAY's 10Best readers ranked it seventh in the country. At the People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic you sample Texas wines and vote for your favorite, and the Liberty Park Plaza International Wine Experience pours wines from around the world. At GrapeStomp, two-person teams stomp about 18 pounds of grapes for two minutes, and the best go on to a Sunday StompOff for the Purple Foot Award. The Champagne Cork Shoot-Off is for ages 21 and up. Live music plays on several stages and local chefs sell food. Kids get rides and games. Thursday admission is free, Friday is free until 5 p.m., and the tastings are ticketed on top of admission.
More in September: 12 other Dallas-Fort Worth events.
